WNBA Faces Caitlin Clark Backlash
The news article directly confirms the prediction by reporting a fan backlash against WNBA teams for leveraging Caitlin Clark's popularity primarily for ticket sales. This indicates a perceived disconnect and a failure to fully embrace her, leading to the predicted alienation of her fanbase.
