Meta successfully launched its Ray-Ban Display glasses (May 2026) ahead of Samsung, which only unveiled its Intelligent Eyewear months later in July 2026 and is described as entering a market 'dominated by Meta.' Meta has also continued to iterate with cheaper models and AI upgrades, none of the falsification criteria (indefinite delay, underperformance, or rival leadership) appear to have occurred.
What would prove this wrong
Meta's Ray-Ban display glasses launch is delayed indefinitely or underperforms competitors' offerings, or if a rival company captures smartglasses market leadership ahead of Meta.
